Welcome to Washington Park Community School!
At the heart of Washington Park Community School are strong relationships, high expectations, and the belief that every student can learn, grow, and succeed. We take pride in who we are and know that when students, families, and staff work together, incredible things happen – Go Patriots!
Every WPCS student brings unique strengths, interests, and experiences. Our job is to meet these learners where they are, challenge them to keep growing, and make sure to celebrate their successes along the way!
Academic growth is at the heart of what we do, but we also believe students thrive when they feel welcomed, supported, and connected. We want every family to feel valued and every student to know they belong.
One of best parts of Washington Park is the incredible support that surrounds it. From our families and neighbors to our community partners, this is a place where people genuinely care about our students and are invested in their success, both in and out of the classroom.
I am so excited to be a part of this team and to see what we'll accomplish together in the 2026-27 school year as we continue building on the many strengths that make Washington Park such a special place!

Washington Park Community School is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by the Educational Resource Consultants of Ohio which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high-performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.
Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Community schools are tuition-free, open to all students in the county, and focused on meeting student needs for success. Community schools are among the top-performing schools in the nation. Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The leadership team at ACCEL Schools has a combined 1000+ years of experience as global school management operators with expertise in curriculum research and design, assessment, student support services, and education consulting.
